Company Overview

Clancy Exploration Limited

Background

Clancy was incorporated on 17 July 2003 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Geoinformatics Exploration Inc. On 6 March 2007 it converted to a public company. Clancy was spun out of Geoinformatics and acquired the core Australian assets of the Geoinformatics group prior to listing on the ASX on 11 July 2007.

Objectives

Clancy was formed with the objective of pursuing copper-gold porphyry deposits in the Lachlan Fold Belt of New South Wales, Australia.  In particular, the Macquarie Arc of the Lachlan Fold Belt is Australia's most fertile and productive porphyry province with an endowment of over 81 million ounces of gold and 14 million tonnes of copper, most of which has been discovered in the last 20 years.

Clancy currently has one of the largest ground positions in the Macquarie Arc region, with twelve 100% owned projects and seven joint venture projects with Gold Fields. Clancy and its joint venture partner are systematically exploring these projects with the objective of the discovery of significant gold and copper resources. Clancy also has 100% owned tenements near Broken Hill in New South Wales and adjacent to the Golden Grove mine in WA, two base metal joint ventures with Bass Metals in Tasmania and two intrusive related tin joint ventures with TNT Mines Ltd in Tasmania.
