Clancy is pleased to refer shareholders to two announcements made by Bass Metals dated 16 August 2007 in respect of an update on its Hellyer Exploration Alliance (HEA) activities with Zinifex Australia Limited. (See www.bassmetals.com.au)
Bass Metals Ltd's (ASX: BSM) exploration has produced the strongest indication to date for the potential delineation of a major new base metals orebody in the Hellyer area. Geological logging of drill-hole HED 12, has confirmed the presence of the indicative geological elements for ore formation. The Hellyer targets were generated in collaboration with Clancy's major shareholder and former parent company Geoinformatics Exploration Inc. Clancy has a shareholding in Bass Metals which currently comprises 911,250 shares and 306,250 options with the potential for this shareholding to increase incrementally in tranches of 250,000 shares for every 500,000oz Au equivalent discovered up to a maximum of five million shares. |

Clancy kicks off aggressive exploration campaign in the Lachlan Fold Belt following successful ASX debut (13th July, 2007)
Clancy is pleased to announce that work will commence immediately on its exciting portfolio of Cu-Au projects in the Lachlan Fold Belt in NSW after a successful listing on the ASX. Clancy has identified 24 highly-ranked Cu-Au porphyry targets on its tenements, 16 of which will be drill tested in the next 12 months. The tenements are in the Ordovician Macquarie Arc, a highly mineralised terrain that hosts the world-class Cadia-Ridgeway Cu-Au deposits (>35 Moz Au endowment), the Cowal Au mine and the Northparkes Cu-Au mine. Clancy has assembled one of the largest ground positions of any explorer in the Macquarie Arc with more than 1850 km2 under tenure. |

Clancy is a spin off from TSX-Venture exchange-listed Geoinformatics Exploration Inc (TSX-V:GXL) which will continue to own approximately 48 per cent of Clancy. |

Clancy Exploration Limited has opened its initial public offering under which it is seeking to raise up to $5 million by the issue of 25 million shares at 20 cents each. The company's name is borrowed from Banjo Paterson's poem 'Clancy of the Overflow', with Clancy's main assets being a substantial portfolio of copper-gold projects and targets in the Lachlan Fold Belt, New South Wales together with base metal projects and targets in the Mount Read Volcanic Belt in Tasmania. |
